Francis's only concern

Fr Richard Rohr's webcast on Saturday - the feast day of St Francis - was inspiring. 'Francis's only concern' he said 'was to imitate Jesus'. And Richard urged us, in the spirit of the saint to 'never seek to be undespised'[!] The talk is going to be made available soon at Center for Action and Contemplation

Ian, Kierkegaard wrote

'But imitation has been abolished. Established Christendom, if it could happen to hear above the laughter, would surely be profoundly amazed if it were to hear that this is the teaching of the New Testament.'

Imitation of Jesus leads both to the cross and heaven. St Francis walked that road.
